Just a Peek!

We had pictures take by the most FAB person! Kim Skinner. She lives in our ward and I have really loved her talent the way she takes pictures so I thought I would see if she could squeeze us in, in time for holidays. She was amazing! So here are a few I won't put them all up yet due to some might come to some of your homes as gifts.

NEW MOON ! ! !

It has been a week but I am finally blogging the New Moon event we went to. Our friend, Paulette, invited us to a private showing of New Moon. Sure we had to drive to Surprise to watch it and it would not show till 12:01 but all in all it was SO worth it. When we got there Kiowa Gordon's limo had just shown up. For those of you who are not sure who that is he plays Embry. One of Jacob's best friends. He also came into our theater so tell us thank you and hope we enjoy the movie. We also got to see the prom dress that Stephanie Myer herself wore in the movie Eclipse(that will be out June of next year)I didn't get a picture of it since we were in a hurry to get in and sit but it is red and so beautiful. I have to say this movie was AWESOME!!!! I loved the first one and enjoyed this one just as much. It was packed with so much not a single bad moment. I am bad though I have not read any of the books. I will put them on my itouch and listen to them while I drive. Emalee loved every moment. She got to get out of school last year with her dad and go see Twilight. So when I got the chance to take her to be one of the first to see New Moon I jumped at the chance.

Costumes

I have taken a break from all of our Disney holiday pictures to bring to you the Halloween posts.
We had to go the super cheap route for halloween with money being so tight. So I was walking through Wal-mart and saw these shirts that were the kind of cool. So Nate is our resident Vampire, Nikolas who is still in the disney mode is our pirate, and of course Emalee a sassy Devil. (more sassy than devil at least this week) hahaha.
I will be back to some more holiday pictures cause I still have Universal Studios, the Zoo and
Sea World to show all of you.

Happy Halloween

We carved our pumpkins

for Family

Home Evening

Nathan and Nikolas decided to do the

traditional scary faces while Emalee

did a fairy from the Tinker Bell

Movie.

Mickey and Minnie

I was told that findng Mickey and Minnie and getting their autographs is one of the hardest things to do. Well we got lucky and found them both the first night we were there. They were outside the hat store. So while I was getting Nathan's ears for his birthday the other two got autographs. We also got a chance with Goofy. Nikolas and Dad took one with him the very first thing when we came in to the park, and then the kids found him again in California Adventure. Very exciting

California Adventure

Me and the kids decided to go on the
"SCREAM" roller coaster. Mom and dad sat it out. Nik wasn't so sure he wanted to go on it the first time so I sat next to him and we held hands. After it was over we went 3 more times. We learned where the camera was so we even posed for pictures
(if that is possible going as fast as we were). Dad even got us going in the loop. The giant candy corns were for the new theme of Halloween. We also rode Hollywood Tower Hotel aka tower of terror. I can't believe we missed taking picutres of it. Oh well guess we need to go back!!!

Small World

You can't go to Disneyland with out riding on the ever famous "Its a small world" ride. It was our last day and very hot so a chance to sit and cool off was very very nice. They added a few new ones that we noticed, Lilo and Stitch, Woody, Nemo, and Ariel. Sure it can be annoying to hear the song over and over but in reality it is really a fun ride and everyone was smiling the whole time,
EVEN NIKOLAS!

I was excited to finally get all the letters this time. Last time we went to Disney I could only get the kids to do the first three letters.

Jungle Cruise

This was on our last day the Indiana Jones ride was closed so we hopped into the Jungle Cruise. It was nice. Our tour guide was the same lady who was working the Tikki Room the day before. She was so funny. We had fun, since to sit too since you walk alot!!!

Splash Mountian

The funniest thing about this ride is that I decided I was not in the mood to get wet and neither was my Dad. When the others walked off to get in line, Dad said that he was going to stand in the shade. I stayed where I was so that I could see them come down to the big splash and maybe get a pic. Well all of a sudden I am seeing them come out of the tunnel and there is my Dad in the back of the group screaming on the way down. When they came out I asked Dad what happened thought you weren't riding, he said I wasn't but then all of a sudden I looked and I was in line and getting in for the ride. lol Emalee also got Briar Fox and Briar Bear to autograph her book.

Princess

Here are all the pictures of the few Princess' we could find. At one point mom and Emalee waited in line for 2 hours and only got 3 photos. Which was a total bummer since 2 of them we had pictures already.

Well here it is finally the start of all the pictures from our trip.
This one is take during the middle of our trip.
We are just past the San Ofre beach, which is by Camp Pendleton.
This day we were on our way to the SanDiego Zoo.
If you notice the top picture you might see the squirel that kept coming up and
touching Nikolas' shoe. He was so cute and didn't seem scared at all.
There are many more to come so check back often and see how long it takes
me to tackle this adventure. We have about 600 pictures I bore you
with all of them or scare you with some of them (lol). But please enjoy
them and see how much fun we had!!!!!!!

Holy Cow!

I can't believe it is September. Where has the year gone. Not everything has been easy for our family this year and leading into next year will probably be the hardest year ever. Hopefully everyone will understand why things are the way they are and what happens needed to. I am looking forward to the cooler months but with that means "snowbirds" which means more papers to throw every day. In fact I think they are already arriving. Yucky! But on the bright side if there is a bright one at 1 in the morning is the income will increase. Which is a blessing none the less. So here is to the last part of the year and the begining of another year.

Finally Count Down....

Well the time is finally here, after all this time it is happening. We are taking a trip to California. 5 fun filled days, 3 at Disneyland, 1 SeaWorld, 1 San Diego zoo, 1 Universal studios. Yup can you stand it. 1 of our Disneylands will be for Nathan's 14 birthday and another 1 for Emalee's 12 birthday. My parents are also coming with. I am so happy they decided to brave the trip with us. We are renting a vacation home instead of a hotel. We hope it will help us save on some funds. I think I will try to bring my laptop so I can post every night. hahaha. This trip is a long time coming, I have been promising the kids for 2 years now. Well here is to counting down 18 days left!!!

Poop in his Hand, Poop in his Hand!

Nikols turned 10 on July 25.
We decided to take him to see the movie G-Force in 3D.
It was awesome! I would recommend it to everyone.
Grandma and Grandpa Stewart and Aunt Toni joined us for the movie.
I think Grandpa and Nikolas enjoyed the movie the most!
of course the best part of the movie in my opinion was the 3 mice
"POOP IN HIS HAND, POOP IN HIS HAND" they had other cute sayings
to but that was the cutest one.
Happy Birthday Nikolas Aaron!

Happy 4th of July! !

I don't have any pics cause my camera broke but we had a great fourth!!!! Not only was it Independence Day but it was Aaron's Birthday. We had my parents, Aaron's parents, Aaron's sister and her kids, and the Eaton Family. Wow so many kids and they are all growing up so fast. If I had my camera I could have take a few many pics to show. I will work on it. The heat was horrible. We had plans to take everyone to the park but that changed to us staying at the house. To many other things to worry about being away from the house. And I have been told that I need to stress less so I opted to keep everyone at the house. We ate great and it just so happens that on TV was one of the Star Wars movies---Return of the Jedi so it was like my brother Alan and his family were there too. My sister and her husband and my other brother could not make it. We hope they had fun too. We didn't go to see fireworks it is just to hot. But about 9:15 someone started to fire some off to the east of us the kids were excited. Then we could hear the Queen Creek/Schnef Farms fireworks. All in all it was a great night. Aaron is a year older. lol. His standard present from his Dad is he gets $1bills for every year. It was fun to watch the kids counting the bills. They got up to WOW 39!!!!!!! We made it through now on the the next stessful thing oh wait less stress right remember less stress!!

Conference Time

It is so nice to be able to watch Conference on T.V. One day I think I would like to be able to actually sit in the conference center and take in all the greatness of being there. I hope that everyone enjoyed watching it as much as I did. Can't wait for tomorrows sessions.

Hope you know we hard a hard time...

I am sure alot of you have read the talk “Hope Ya Know, We Had a Hard Time” - by Elder Quentin L. Cook - http://www.lds.org/ldsorg/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=f318118dd536c010VgnVCM1000004d82620aRCRD&locale=0&sourceId=e9d7a0ad4843d110VgnVCM100000176f620a____&hideNav=1
Well this Sunday we had it for our lesson in Relief Society. If you get a chance please take the time to read it or watch it.
It is truly an eye opener to know that we aren't alone when we think we are having a hard time. We hold so much in thinking that it must only be us that are hurt, alone, or in need. Yet all we need to do is to let others know of what we are going through and someone is going to be there to help.
It would be nice to text on your phone to a friend "hope you know I am having a hard time" and to get a text back that gives you exactley what you need, but sometimes their phone is not or or they miss the text. Here is something that would be even better when your on your knees and you cry out "hope you know I am having a hard time" and that still small voices comes back and says "I know and I am here for you".
It is then that we can know our hard times aren't just know by us but by our Heavenly Father. Who is always there for us when we need it.

Emalee and Me at the Temple waiting for Skeeter Allen to come out.
Posted by Picasa

March 14, 2009. My Bestest best friend/cousin went to the temple for the first time. It was so awesome to see her come out and see that incredible glow on her face. I know that all of her family is so very proud of her and the choice she made to go. She has become such an example for so many others. Her family can only benefit from her choice. Skeeter "Lee" I love you so much and your continuing faith as it grows but leaps and bounds. I know our Heavenly Father was smiling the biggest smile when you chose this path. He will pour so many blessing on you get a big bucket. Go often it will truly help in times of need, I can promise you that. Again I am so happy for you. LOTS OF LOVE FOR THE ALLEN FAMILY.

We are so excited for him. He will be working on his Star with weekend with a trip up to where the young women have Girls Camp.
He also was named Historian for his troop. The troop had to give themselves a name so they took the name the BAT troop. lol They did a cheer at was to the tune of the Batman cartoon. He has been working so hard, we are so proud of him. The goal for their troop is to have eagle scout by 15. That way when they turn 16 they can enjoy others things like getting ready for being a missionary.

Saturday was Nikolas' Pinewood Derby. If any of you have see that movie about the pinewood derby you really should.
He did great. Won 3 of his 4 races. It was a whole professional setup, with computers and screens etc. The boys had a great time but just like the movie it was some of the DADS that took it to a whole new level.
Nikolas named his car "WATCHMEN" hhmmm where did he get that idea??? We painted it back with yellow wheels and the notorious smiley face with a accent of blood. (hahaha)
We have another 2 years to do pinewood derby and of course the chance to be faster and better.

Long time

Wow hard to take that it has been so long. I am definatly a blog forgetter. I have been so sick this past month that being up and alive is just a incredible feat in it's self. So lets get an overview of this month. At the begining of January our paper routes increased alot due to the Tribune not doing home delivery. We jumped from 700 to well over 1000 papers a day. So that was a lot to adjust to especially on sundays. Having to go in at 8 pm and not getting home till 6 am. Good thing church starts at 2pm. lol Then my Grandma Stewart passed away, that was harder than I thought. It was hard to see the saddness in so many faces. My dad also had his birthday and my parents anniversary on the same day. That was nice to have a bit of happiness. So then I get sick and it is horrible. I hate allergies that knock you clean off your feet. So here we are now the week of Valentines Day, and the sad thing is the flower shop isn't busy at all. I mean we have work but nothing like a few years ago. But we keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. I hope all of you are having the best times right now.

Her name Kay Stewart, and she was my grandma. She passed away early this morning January 22, 2009. I will miss her so very much. Amazing how much love you feel in your heart when you know that someone has passed on. I know she is in a better place and surrounded by family and friends. I am also greatful to know that one day I will see her again! How great is it to have the truthfulness of a church and the love of a Heavenly Father to know the meaning of "FAMILIES ARE ETERNAL". It truly brings comfort to my broken spirit. I have cried all morning and continue to cry but I also smile knowing that this is not the end.
I love you Grandma Stewart!!!! and will miss you.

Miss NY but love AZ

So it is Saturday and well what better thing to do then.........mow the lawn. HAHA It was like what 80 degrees outside so I kept seeing the weeds and the grass growing that I had to do something. It is funny cause I have been talking to a long lost friend who lives in NY and she said it was 4 degrees out. I don't miss that. I loved NY but not the winter cold. I haven't had alot of time to keep up my blog but I am going to try and be better. Hope everyone has a great weekend. byee

This is my GIRL!!!! and yes she is SUPER SMART. It all started when she was 5 and I was lucky that the charter school had the cut off date of December 31 not September 1. So I put her in kindergarten a whole year early. Hoping we made the right choice and that she didn't feel out of place or be so behind theother kids. WEEEELLLLLLLLL come to find out she has the smart genes! She has been on honor roll every single quarter of her entire school life. When she learned to read it was like a light went off in her mind and it was no looking back! She taught her self to multiply which to me who can barely count to 10 with out using my fingers was amazing. So yes I am a proud mom and I love to brag. She is my only girl and I love her sooo much. She is also the only girl grandchild of my mom and dad so she is extra special in sooo many ways! Just wanted to let you all know! AND yes Lacy we all have the smartest kids around! (Nathan wants you all to know that he is smart too) lol
