I am sure alot of you have read the talk “Hope Ya Know, We Had a Hard Time” - by Elder Quentin L. Cook - http://www.lds.org/ldsorg/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=f318118dd536c010VgnVCM1000004d82620aRCRD&locale=0&sourceId=e9d7a0ad4843d110VgnVCM100000176f620a____&hideNav=1
Well this Sunday we had it for our lesson in Relief Society. If you get a chance please take the time to read it or watch it.
It is truly an eye opener to know that we aren't alone when we think we are having a hard time. We hold so much in thinking that it must only be us that are hurt, alone, or in need. Yet all we need to do is to let others know of what we are going through and someone is going to be there to help.
It would be nice to text on your phone to a friend "hope you know I am having a hard time" and to get a text back that gives you exactley what you need, but sometimes their phone is not or or they miss the text. Here is something that would be even better when your on your knees and you cry out "hope you know I am having a hard time" and that still small voices comes back and says "I know and I am here for you".
It is then that we can know our hard times aren't just know by us but by our Heavenly Father. Who is always there for us when we need it.

March 14, 2009. My Bestest best friend/cousin went to the temple for the first time. It was so awesome to see her come out and see that incredible glow on her face. I know that all of her family is so very proud of her and the choice she made to go. She has become such an example for so many others. Her family can only benefit from her choice. Skeeter "Lee" I love you so much and your continuing faith as it grows but leaps and bounds. I know our Heavenly Father was smiling the biggest smile when you chose this path. He will pour so many blessing on you get a big bucket. Go often it will truly help in times of need, I can promise you that. Again I am so happy for you. LOTS OF LOVE FOR THE ALLEN FAMILY.

This sunday March 8, 2009. My son Nathan got his 1st class for Scouts.
We are so excited for him. He will be working on his Star with weekend with a trip up to where the young women have Girls Camp.
He also was named Historian for his troop. The troop had to give themselves a name so they took the name the BAT troop. lol They did a cheer at was to the tune of the Batman cartoon. He has been working so hard, we are so proud of him. The goal for their troop is to have eagle scout by 15. That way when they turn 16 they can enjoy others things like getting ready for being a missionary.

Saturday was Nikolas' Pinewood Derby. If any of you have see that movie about the pinewood derby you really should.
He did great. Won 3 of his 4 races. It was a whole professional setup, with computers and screens etc. The boys had a great time but just like the movie it was some of the DADS that took it to a whole new level.
Nikolas named his car "WATCHMEN" hhmmm where did he get that idea??? We painted it back with yellow wheels and the notorious smiley face with a accent of blood. (hahaha)
We have another 2 years to do pinewood derby and of course the chance to be faster and better.
